Privacy Policy

This policy explains, at a high level, what information may be stored when using FlinSift, how the product currently works, and which capabilities are planned for future versions. It is an initial information document and does not replace legal advice.

Product Purpose

FlinSift is a tool for personal trade journaling, process review, and learning. The product does not provide investment advice, execute trades, or manage funds.

Information Entered by Users

When using the app, a user may enter trade records, portfolios, trade ideas, notes, personal rules, interface preferences, and imported files. This content is created by the user and is intended for personal use inside the product.

Account and Data Storage

Using the app requires creating a personal account (email and password sign-up, including email verification and password reset). Access to your data is limited to the account you're signed in with.

The system is built to support both local storage in the browser (such as localStorage) and secure cloud synchronization tied to your account; the actual scope of synchronization may vary between product versions and data types.

If the user clears browser data, uses another device, or for data that isn't synchronized to the cloud, locally stored information may not be available. Export and backup capabilities are available inside the app, along with a full account-deletion option in account settings.

Export and Backup

The app includes export and backup capabilities according to the options currently available in the product. Users are responsible for keeping their own backup copies of information that matters to them.

Broker Connections and AI

Advanced broker connections and additional AI capabilities are marked in the product as future or planned functionality. There is currently no active broker connection, broker credential storage, trade execution, or active screenshot OCR workflow.

If these capabilities are added in a future version, the privacy policy and product explanations should be updated before those capabilities are used.

Some screens may include links to external websites for market information or news review. Visiting an external site is subject to that site's own terms and privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the product evolves, including as the storage and cloud-synchronization architecture changes. Before a public launch (beta and beyond), the policy should receive professional legal review against the product's actual technical implementation.
